Information about the three- and four-year-old programs is in A Carden Nursery School. The brochures are copyrighted, and your use of them is limited by the legal notice.

Two books that present Mae Carden's philosophy of education are Let's Bring Them Up Sensibly, published in response to long-standing and oft-repeated requests for a Carden book for parents, and Quality Teaching — Successful Learning, a collection of speeches, essays and other writings that have been edited for presentation in a format designed for use by teachers. Carden Requirements
Textbooks and manuals used in working with the youngsters are available to all home schooling parents who have received instruction by authorized representatives of the Foundation, and have signed Carden requirements for schooling in the home.

The provisions of requirements for schooling in the home with Carden are designed to protect the integrity of the curriculum and thereby ensure optimum success for your children. They assure us that Carden teachers will use materials in harmony with Carden teaching philosophy and techniques as presented in our courses and in manuals for teachers. There is no fee for these requirements, and they do not obligate you to make a purchase. You may attend Carden courses without signing. However, we must have a signed agreement before instructional materials for teacher and child may be sent.

Because you teach your children at home, you have full responsibility for meeting legal requirements. It is important to ascertain applicable laws.
